OUR GRASS FED BEEF GRASS FINISHED BEEF Our 100% Grass Fed Beef is the real deal! We don't deceive and sell "Grass Fed Beef" that's finished with grains and corn. Our Grass Fed beef has spent its entire life eating off our lush grass pastures and the grass hay we grow here on our farm. Grass Fed. Grass Finished.
Our cattle graze on clean, healthy, unpolluted grasses; which of course means the beef that ends up on your dinner table is natural and healthy as well. We raise our animals the old fashioned way - free range, and raised without the use of added antibiotics, hormones, and drugs. We can trace every animal on our farm from birth to butcher to ensure healthy, fresh, safe, natural beef. Just like our Better Veal, our Grass Fed beef is born and raised from birth to harvest under our care! When you purchase beef from us you can rest assured knowing that your meat was born and raised under our care; in only one place. We select the animals only after they have been on the best grasses the season has to offer and the animals have matured and are in peak condition. Our customers always get the season’s best. This means your beef will be between 15 to 19 months old; available between July and November only.
Our cross breeding of the British Red Poll and the Irish Dexter results in a smaller framed animal, thereby reducing the anxiety that comes with finding someone to split a whole or half a beef with. When ready for butchering, our Grass Fed beef hanging weight will be between 350 to 500 pounds. We take care of all the arrangements and disposals for you - you need only discuss with the butcher what cuts you want! Be sure to remember to include the bones for making delicious and nutritious homemade broths or healthy dental treats for your beloved pup!
We require a deposit of $500 on a half and $1500 on a whole Grass Fed beef purchase with the balance due upon delivery for butchering. Our Grass Fed is priced, all inclusive with the exception of sausage or curing, at $5.97 per pound. Costs for Curing or Sausage is to be paid by the buyer directly to the butcher.
OUR BETTER VEAL - Pastured Rose Veal Our “Better Veal” is an old fashioned, suckler veal. This IS a veal you can feel good about eating. We raise our healthy, heritage breeds (British Red Poll, Irish Dexter) beef calves from birth, alongside their mothers. They are fed nothing but the lush grasses from our own pastures, allowed free choice to minerals and salt and they wash it all down, multiple times a day with milk from their mothers’. The calves live a stress free life, frolicking and socializing with their pasture mates, foraging with their mothers, napping in the shady groves of trees and enjoying cool, refreshing water from the creek. They are not separated from their mothers until they are slaughtered.
Our Better Veal is a marvelous meat! It is a much more flavorful young beef than commercial veal; a true delight for your palate. The combination of “cut with a spoon” tenderness coupled with a delicate grain and mildly sweet, grass fed, beefy flavor is sure to amaze you. A true delicacy!
We calve seasonally, in April and May to take advantage of the spring grass for healthier calving and raise 6 to 15 bull calves for fall pastured veal which is available from late October to end of November. Typically, these smaller, heritage breed young beef calves hang from 225 to 330 pounds and we take care of all the arrangements and disposals for you - you need only discuss with the butcher what cuts you want! Be sure to remember to include the bones for making delicious and nutritious homemade broths or healthy dental treats for your beloved pup!

Our Better Veal is priced, all inclusive with the exception of sausage or curing, at $8.05 per pound. Costs for Curing or Sausage is to be paid by the buyer directly to the butcher.
